This free newsletter is dedicated to delivering news and updates about events and activities organized by Create with Swift and the imaginary institute in Naples, Italy.
Hello there! It's been a while, but for a good reason. Since September 2024, when we did our first event, the Create with Swift Napoli Meetup, we have been working on the ideas and feedback gathered with the co-creation activity.
Based on what you've shared, we have been working on two different fronts: the need to meet frequently and have a place to communicate.
Meeting frequently
Most people shared that a strong community is a community that meets often, creating space and opportunity for as many people as possible to join these events and participate in our activities.
Beer with Swift was born out of these needs. Our monthly gathering in the city center of Naples. It's a space dedicated to the people who are part of the Apple developer community to get to know each other and connect. The first edition was in December 2024, with a second in January 2025 (when more than 80 developers and designers joined us) and a third in March 2025.

February was a rainy month in Naples, and there was a need for a roof over our heads. Besides these details, we also missed a more structured event with activities since the previous one was in September. So, we did the second Create with Swift Napoli Meetup.
A place for the community... Discord!
One of our challenges as a community is having a place where we can find each other easily, talk about our projects, and share opportunities. This "public square" is essential for us to organize and meet without relying on social media platforms to deliver our posts on the feeds of the people who follow us.
That is where the Create with Swift Discord community server comes in. Released in the weeks following our first meetup in September, our community server has the goal of being the house of our local community.

It is far from being the best community server. Still, it is slowly evolving according to the needs we identify by interacting with the people at our events and by gathering more experience and inspiration from other community servers we are part of.
If you are reading this newsletter, then it is very likely that you are already part of our Discord server, and if so, invite your friends and colleagues who are part of the app development world to join us! You can share our invitation link with them or ask them directly on Discord.
The near future
We are happy to announce the third edition of the Create with Swift Napoli Meetup! We will meet at 19:00 on April 17th at Spazio Tra, at the city center of Naples, for an evening of sharing and networking.
It's a free event, but limited tickets are available due to the number of people the space can host. You are getting priority access to it since you are a subscriber of the Napoli Meetup newsletter!

We are excited about this edition because it's the first time we have a space for the community members to present! Many people have expressed their willingness to share their experiences and challenges during the events, and we have been working with them for this first experiment.
We will update the agenda of the event page and publish it on our social networks once we have all the details sorted out by the end of the week.
Our community is diverse, comprising individuals with experience in various aspects of app development. If you would also like to take the stage on future events and share your experience and challenges designing, developing, and creating apps for Apple devices, fill out the following form.
